Attracting talent. The money being paid to KY should be obvious that BYU is all in on its Bball program right now. That includes in securing NIL funding to attract the talent we need to compete in the Big 12.

KY has a unique recruiting pitch that almost no one else in the country can provide with his experience in the NBA and player development. If the goal is the NBA, BYU will HAVE to be an option for any serious recruit. No better place to stay out of trouble and focus on ball than at BYU.
