You talk with them like any other human with flaws. Unfortunately for them, their flaws are more damaging and public
but they are still God’s children just like your non substance addicted friends and neighbors who deal with other flaws such as lying, being deceitful, cheating on their spouses, porn addiction, dishonest business dealings, spreading gossip etc…
Some people's flaws are much more visible which provide us with opportunities to show Christ-like love and mercy or they can reveal our own flaws like pride or haughtiness.
