He envisioned something permanent, and described kids being able to go stand on the medals stand and imagine themselves taking gold.

So I'm assuming whatever changes/renovations are happening, it would include a gathering place large enough to host the medals ceremonies during the Olympics and that could remain permanent after the Olympics are gone.
