My friend had one last year. He's 50 years old and needed one shoulder
done. The recovery sucked for him. Lots of rest and then a lot of PT. He's about a year from the surgery and he is grateful that he did it.
His joint was full of arthritis and it hurt all the time. No pain now, just some limited mobility that he thinks would get better with him being better about exercises.
