It’s hit and miss, but I’ve had good success. Usually you can google the vin and
see pictures from the auction (if sold from insurance auction) so you know what the damage was.

We bought a Corolla for our teenagers that had a salvage title. Guy bought it at auction and replaced the smashed parts.

I have purchased two - no problems at all with either. But, make sure damage was only cosmetic body damage.

Make sure you know what the damage was. Body damage is ok as long as there was no frame damage

biggest tip: google the VIN. You'll find what the car looked like before it was fixed.
