Went to an ENT to begin with and he sent me to the sleep center over at the
hospital. They sent the report back to the ENT who wrote the prescription for the Medical Device company to order the BPAP. In the diagnostic phase they wrote that I only had 10 obstructive events but well over 100 central events. Supposedly the BPAP is better for central type apnea...not that I understand the difference. I also am a mouth breather with major dry mouth issues, so supposedly BPAP is better for that as well.
