I mean the guy is despised, it seems, by most cougarboard members. Over the years I have scratched my head as to why he continues to even have a job.

Then I hear the Tom Holmoe interview regarding how we got KY, and Tom was absolutely gushing about Santiago. He was seriously giving Brian most of the credit for the hire. It was also obvious from Tom's comments that he would be lost regarding BYU basketball if he didn't have Santiago as his right hand man. It kinda makes sense since Tom is more a football guy and Brian is "A basketball junkie".

I have a problem with arrogant people so the Santiago sentiment on cougarboard resonates with me. However, maybe we aren't giving this guy enough credit. It even occurs to me that the turnaround we have seen with BYU basketball over the last few days (while Young has been focused on the Suns' playoff situation) may very well be a result of Brian's influence. Not sure about that, but it may be true.
