So, if a big part of Pope's inexplicable behavior upon departure is due to the constant headbutting with Santiago, with
two alphas with huge egos involved, what side are people willing to take now? It's just my impression that early on Pope would have the majority of support. Now, in retrospect, the pendulum seems to swing back towards Santiago. If it ultimately ends up in the middle about both of them, I'm pleased to have KY and Santiago in our camp vs Pope.
Pope has consistently drummed the point that UK is his HOME, now we'll see how long that honeymoon and love affair lasts when performance on the court will matter most, regardless of how slick and hyperbolic he is...and in comparison, say what you will about Santiago's idiosyncrasies, but he has ALWAYS been a BYU guy. That's worth noting at the end of the day.
