Opposite experience for me at a food truck in DC yesterday. 3 tip options were

This was a food truck. Holy crap. So I paid with no tip from my credit card, then pulled a $1 from my wallet and put it in the physical tip jar. Probably shouldn’t have done that last part just out of principle, but couldn’t help myself.
