daughter named them Jerald and Jessica. Last spring Jessica laid about ten eggs under our neighbors bush. Before they could even hatch the hawks got all ten of them.
This year Jessica has been absent for the past week or so and only Jerald has been around the pool. We hope Jessica is sitting on her eggs some place close, but we are afraid something may have happened to her.
Nature can be brutal.
