Something nice about Cleve (lousy coach) was to put Rose down. Rose’s record stands on its own and Pope’s pales in comparison.
As for who I listed, it was all from memory and you were the one that said “and onward” so I went back. Yes Plaisted and Bryant are members but not from traditional recruiting places. I said “and others”.

My real point is that you have taken far too many subtle and somewhat direct shots at Rose for not chasing all the 5 stars out there. His recruiting budget was next to nothing and even tho Pope didn’t have enough, it was far more than Rose had. Rose was smart with what he had and recruited a slew of terrific players to the Y. He also developed many that came unheralded. He took over a garbage program and IMMEDIATELY turned it around. Pope took over a winner and a lot of people are happy he’s gone.
