My buddy's family has a place at Bear Lake and I've got another friend with a family place up along the Mirror Lake Highway. Both seem great - close enough to go frequently and just do a weekend even. But far enough to get away from things. Depending on if I want to get away from the heat in the summer or away from the cold in the winter more - St. George might be an option for a place close enough to drive to.

At the same time - something that was more of a destination sounds great too. I could see getting something in Florida - probably around Orlando to be close to the parks (Disney and Universal) as well as relatively close the the cruise terminal. That said - we spent some time in North Carolina not too long ago - and that is a beautiful area as well.
