He didn’t even play for two years.
Did I ever call Jokic a mediocre playoff performer? The nuggets had some underwhelming performances for sure. I do recall saying I wasn’t sure Jokic should be mvp being on a team that would go nowhere in the playoffs. They lost to the Warriors in round 1 that year.
Was I that wrong? They got swept by the suns and lost in round 1 to the Warriors in back to back years. Ya they weren’t healthy, but if you’re the MVP I think it’s reasonable to expect more. What did I say during last years playoff run? Did I discount them? Or just during the years they lost early?
I don’t know what you expect from me, I’ve said multiple times that Jokic is the best player in the world. I’m sorry I don’t view them exactly how you do. You’re a nuggets fan, non-nuggets fans aren’t going to see the team the same as you.
And you won a title, just enjoy that. Your team is a likely favorite to win again this year. I’m not sure why you care what suns fans think about your team. Jokic and Murray are obviously great players. I don’t know what I specifically said, so I can’t admit whether I was wrong or not, but if I said they’d never win with those 2 then I admit I was wrong. If I doubted them going into the playoffs last year then I’ll admit I was wrong as well.
I think I probably thought they were the favorites. I thought the suns had the best chance at beating them but I don’t think I would have picked them, but maybe I did. I am a suns fan after all.
