Losing Danny Saili hurts. The former Texas Tech commit who at one point held an offer from Oklahoma was exactly the type of big body 2-gap nose tackle BYU needed on the DL.

With Saili gone, here is what the potential 3-deep at DT looks like right now:

David Latu, 6-4/305 Junior... former Snow College transfer (3-star, offer from Wazzu) dealt with injuries and saw limited action before redshirting last year. We really need Latu to breakout this season.

John Nelson, 6-4/290 Senior... battled injuries last season but in 2022 he had 28 tackles and 3 sacks. Need him healthy this year in a big way.

Luke To'omalatai, 6-3/305 Junior... 3-star transfer from Long Beach CC. Also offered by Houston. Intriguing numbers at LBCC as a sophomore with 12.5 TFL and 8.5 sacks.

Dallin Johnson, 6-3/300 Freshman... 3-star class of '24. Also offered by Wazzu. Participated in Spring ball. Could factor right away. Kid is a beast, reportedly squats over 600 lbs.

Wyatt Dawe, 6-0/300 RS Sophomore... SUU transfer had 5 tackles last season for BYU.

Joshua Singh, 6-0/285 RS Junior... There's been reports about his great motor in practice for a while now. Will he be pressed into action this season?
