more insensitive skin type to high sun areas, it is much higher. I heard it, and googled the link below, so it seems like fairer skinned folks are more vulnerable. Interesting quote:

"Melanoma rates in the under 40s age group (those who grew up with “Slip Slop Slap”) are coming down. But rates in the 60+ age group are still going up and as a result so are the overall rates. We anticipate and hope those will fall over the next decade."



I had a basal cell decades ago - they really aren't a big deal. Uncle had Melanoma - was a home builder and out in the sun a lot as a young man. I go every year for a checkup. Melanoma is an absolutely brutal cancer. I was reading about this new technology where they extract a cancer sample and inject it back as a vaccine and it has something like a 64% success rate, including stage 4. Needs more human testing, but impressive as Melanoma is just deadly
