outdated, even though it sounds like you got a good one. Honda did have much better quality and dependability than most other brands back in the '90s, but this hasn't really been the case in a long time now.

FWIW, one of my cars is a 2012 Ford Escape that we bought new a long time ago, and it now has 240k miles and is still going strong, no issues. I did have to pay like $700 last year to repair a small leak and a couple of other small things, but other than that, it's been great. But anecdotal evidence is never as good as a proper study; the links below provide a good sense for where brands stack up to each other (and vs. Honda) these days in terms of vehicle dependability/quality.
