For some landscaping work, we threatened to sue and then the work got done.
We were reseeding our backyard. Guy came in and killed our yard and then ghosted us for multiple weeks. We sent a message that said we were contemplating a lawsuit. We got a message back pretty quickly apologizing for the delay and lack of communication. He said he had been out of the country, unable to return messages, and just gotten back the day before. He got the work done pretty quickly after that.
