Well I was wrong about a few things in this thread but I'd never say you were
right.
Especially because you don't seem to challenge the claim made by the OP, which is all I was attempting to do even if using alternative (and real, mind you) data.
All you have to do is look at results for number 1 and number 3 in recent years (using CBT data) to debunk the idea of buying success.
Heck, look at the Padres last year. And look at the increase in DBacks spending this year.
You can't buy championships and postseason appearances.
