They don't if you use them by the expiration date. Mine never come close. 😉
Of course, I do check the date when I buy them because some knuckleheads will return old 6 packs to the store and exchange them for fresh. (Yes, looking at you Styro. hahahaha)
The other benefit is that you can put the bottles in the freezer to get them slushy without fear of them exploding if you forget you put one in there.
