I do the lion's share of the grocery shopping for my family. What I'm seeing for
items I buy from the grocery store is the cost has gone up from 30% to 60% since 2020 on most items (If I'm doing the math right). An item that used to cost $5 now costs $8 or more. That's the typical thing I'm seeing. A typical $400 per month grocery bill would now be about $600. The big thing that is saving me is I was buying groceries for 8 people during COVID (because of college age kids and a daughter-in-law moving in with us) and I'm buying for 4 people now.
