I get that refs are delicate flowers, and no one should have to endure abuse, but I have seen refs who fly off the handle if they hear anything from the parents... like anything. Then I've also seen coaches get really abusive to refs. What I've really never seen is the parents get overly abusive. Yes, sometimes they express their displeasure at a call, or a missed call or whatever, but never what I would consider abusive...like ever. That, I have only ever seen come from the coaches. I've seen plenty of refs on power trips.
