I would have loved it as an athlete because I qualified in seven events - but it certainly would benefit the schools
with bigger programs. Limited events evens the field more.
We wanted to add triple jump as an official event when I was in school, but it got voted down all the time because no one could coach it, and most schools didn't have athletes that could do it. It gave those of us who did a big point advantage.
