I have rental properties and a brokerage account in a 95/5 stock to bond
Portfolio.
My opinion- I love the stock investment. And I don’t really like the real estate.
If you are in your 30s or 40s and are willing to keep the money invested in the market for decades, that is my favorite investment. The compounding effect doesn’t compare in stocks to real estate over the long haul.
But RE sounds a lot cooler in conversation and in people’s minds. It grabs people’s attention more.
Just my 2 cents from my personal experience.
