I lived in Ohio and bought a van in Ann Arbor Michigan. States work stuff out
And Michigan and Ohio split the tax of the sale or something like that. I had to pay an extra thousand when I registered the car in Ohio.
Wouldn’t be surprised if Nevada/California do something similar.
