I bought a used car from across the country a few years back. It was the best
car dealership experience I have ever had, by a long shot. Maybe it was because it was right after Christmas and they were trying to squeeze in as many last minute deals as possible, maybe that's just how "internet sales" go, all I know was that on my previous used car, in person experience, I sat in the dealership for like 6 hours negotiating out all the stupid extras and negotiating up my trade in value. It was awful.

The Internet purchase was easy peasy. Found it on cargurus.com, and secured financing there. Like yours it had the hard to find options I wanted along with a good service history, for a much better price than I had found locally. I had the sales guy do a cold start FaceTime and virtual test drive. It was a very reputable dealership, not a mom and pop shop across from Moe's Service Station. I arranged for a shipper to do the pickup. They ran my numbers and beat my financing offer, all while I sat on the couch at home munching on Christmas dinner leftovers. I docusigned a few things, but that was it.

Titling and registration was done in my home state, and honestly took a little longer than I would have liked, but it wasn't really any kind of inconvenience.

The shipper was the real bummer. The rear bumper got scraped up in on/off the shuffling of cars somewhere along the journey, and the respray they offered hasn't really held up perfectly. Maybe I'll get it fixed properly one day, but for now it's only mildly bothersome and I just choose not to notice it.

Good luck with your purchase!
