I remember watching the 1968 Olympics and the most vivid current memory involved the black glove salute, and Mark Spitz making his introduction to the swimming world at a young age.

Ever since that time, excepting 1980 when I was away and because it was in Moscow, I have watched some or all of the events whenever possible. It got a little confusing when they rotated through Lillehammer and Albertville to stagger the Winter from the Summer, but I've generally enjoyed the festivities and follow the Medal Table.

ABC was the original broadcaster that made the Olympics a mainstay in our home. NBC had acquired rights thereafter and it appears to remain with them.

Does anyone have favorite memories from Olympics and anything that you're looking forward to watching?

My wife coached the spouse of a wrestler who's a World Champion and an Olympic Bronze Medalist so we'll pay special attention to his results. Do you have any connection to any of the athletes?
