"My sources say." Say what? Having sources is not a reason. I could have a source on the team, but that doesn't mean that my "source" know anything worthwhile (In fact, most comments from individual team members can be ignored out of hand).

If you laid out the reasoning from your sources, you would be treated better. People would still disagree with you, but it would be on the basis of your "sources" reasoning. Just throwing that line out there is fishing at its worst.
