it will only validate what the rest of the country believes: The MWC is a weak conference. If Utah comes in and does well, it will validate the strength of the MWC and perhaps add another argument to AQ status. Utah has been top 3 consistently in the MWC. The argument is that the top half of the MWC is just as strong as anywhere else. If that argument is true, Utah will compete on the same level as Oregon and occasionally challenge USC for the title.
