but most Utah fans are cautiously optimistic. We regularly beat PAC 10 teams before and now most of us HOPE that we will get even better athletes which will HOPEFULLY help us win more games than before.

Another side benefit is we hope that 3 - 4 great in state LDS athletes will go to Utah instead of BYU. Thus making the PAC 12 jump a win-win situation.

I don't know any Utah fans that think that Utah will automatically jump to the front of the PAC 12. I think that's probably the biggest difference between a Utah fan and a BYU fan. We (Utah fans) tend to be a little less myopic and cautious in our predictions.

BYU fans tend to jump head first (e.g. Quest for perfection tshirts made in July, etc).
