a little more:

Dec 22, 2005: LV bowl 40,000
BYU lost to California... BYU was 6-6

Dec 21, 2006: LV Bowl 44,615
BYU (10-2) beat Oregon (7-6) 38-8

Dec 22, 2007: LV Bowl 40.712
BYU (10-2) beat UCLA 17-16

Dec 20, 2008: LV Bowl 40,047
BYU (10-2) lost Arizona 21-31

Dec 22, 2009: LV Bowl 40,018
BYU #14 (10-2) beat Oregon St #18 (8-4)

Now tell me little one where do you get the idea that BYU not
selling out its allotment had any effect on the attendance totals.
Also I was at that game last year and 75% of the crowd was BYU fans.

One other fact:
Sam Boyd Stadium listed capacity if 36,800 ... I think they list it as 40000 now

First Las Vegas Bowl was Dec 18, 1993 Reno-Bowling Green

Top Pioneer Las Vegas Bowl Crowds:
44,615 - 2006 BYU - Oregon
40,712 - 2007 BYU - UCLA
40,053 - 2005 BYU - California
30,894 - 2001 Utah - USC
30,324 - 2002 UCLA - New Mexico

so you think your theory that BYU doesn't help the attendance?
Well, what do you think now?

Have a good day!
