improvement in coaching, hitting our stride at the end of the year, and a ton of experience returning (not to mention no rotating QBs) is plenty of reason for optimism. There are really 5 games that stand out as tough games (TX, TCU, Ole Miss, Utah, OSU), with any of them winnable. There are several that are gimmies. Sure, we could crash and burn, but there's much more reason for optimism than last year.
