this feels a little fishy what happened. it kind of reminds me of harvey langi thing. where Whittingham got him in his office alone and made him drink beer and commit to Utah and Harvey committing on the spot. for the past month Hansen has favored Nebraska and BYU, then bam this.
intoxicated manipulation is a huge recruiting tool on the hill. i had a very good buddy who had schollie offers from florida st. and arizona and was leaning that way. then him and his parents get invited into coach Meyers office and they play some Bone thugs and the parents committed their son on the spot to Utah. they were a tongan family, so having the dad make this decision is considered what is best and there were no questions asked.
it just feels fishy with the family, supposedly, upset with Whittingham about the older brother too. i wouldn't be surprised to see this commit change sometime before february 5th. intoxication can only last for so long on a kid.
anyone hear anything about his teammate? he was committed and then decided to decommitt. was a BYU lean. he is a 6'8" 300 lb OT. is he leaning back to the team up north now with hansen there? or is he not wanting to return still?
