That is a good point; however, if OU and Texas are unwilling
to make some sort of REAL commitment to staying in the Big XII and together (like a contract). Then, I don't fault BYU one bit for staying independent. If that is the issue. If it is something else - like wanting to be cool to the WCC - then I won't be as happy.
