post regarding BYU's & Big12's agreement becoming increasingly meaningless, I only hope you begin to see the future TH has seen for quite some time. As I posted a couple of weeks ago that "it was pretty much concluded" BYU would not accept a B12 invite, you see now the reasoning behind it. BYU never had confidence the B12 would stay intact. BYU cannot rely on conference mates, in state affiliates, or university associates to band with them thru this upcoming shake down. The ONLY entity BYU has as a zealous advocate is ESPN.

Columnists like Kragthorpe, SLTribune, 64000 reasons guys, ...those guys are behind the evolving times. Greg Wruebell called it weeks ago when he knew it was not worth it for BYU to break it's ESPN 8 yr contract for "BCS access". BCS won't even exist 8 yrs from now...ESPN will. As these superconferences form, a prior or current B12 membership will mean squat. ie Baylor, Texas Tech, Iowa State, etc. The briefcase labeled ESPN that BYU carries around with them will speak louder than a briefcase labeled Big 12.
