Anybody want my season tickets? Because quite frankly, Indy home scheduling sucks. Looking down the road, it is not going to get any better. BYU's bowls will be meaningless.
So if the BIG XII collapses and we get this superconference garbage (or even if the BIG XII collapses and we stay indy for the next 20 years), I'll be a BYU fan in front of the tube.
Indy is just not worth the thousands of dollars per year in food/gear/tickets/gas to me. Just my two cents.
Kraft Fort Alamo Bowl is horrible too.
I guess the silver lining is that if the BIG XII goes bye-bye we get some opprotunities to schedule decent bowls.
But as for ESPN being our friend? You guys vastly over-rate them. These are the guys that pitted a BYU vs. top 10 undefeated Boise St on a Wednesday at 9:00pm. BYU was one of the key players in forming the MTN TV deal BECAUSE of how ESPN treated us.
How quickly we forget.
Don't get me wrong, Indy is better than what were stuck with in the MWC, but for the life of me, I just can't get excited about it being our permenant destination. Ick.
