Active Mormons hating BYU and wanting it to fail = classless
I am a UofU grad and have lived a mile south of the UofU for three decades, and "hating BYU" (your words, not mine) among active Church members is the local pastime.
I will never understand how any Church member who considers himself/herself active can simultaneously hate the Church's university.
Hating BYU by non-LDS? It doesn't bother me much because it's expected. Non-LDS have not committed any loyal love to the Church as a whole.
But hating BYU by active LDS? It's annoyingly classless.
