acknowledging that SMC was the better team are not mutually exclusive activities. You can complain that the refs sucked while simultaneously acknowledging that BYU got beat by a better basketball team.

Just because someone complains about the refs, that does not mean that they i) think SMC is an inferior team; ii) the refs were biased towards SMC; or iii) BYU would have won the game with "better refs."

I happen to believe i) the refs sucked; ii) the refs were equally bad on both ends of the floor; and iii) BYU would have lost to SMC unless the refs were biased against SMC in favor of BYU.
