Really. I have not once said Utah is good at basketball this year. I have been, if anything, one of their biggest critics. I have not once defended the 2011-12 PAC as a good basketball conference. I think this particular PAC-12 group of basketball teams makes up the single worst big-6 conference in at least 20 years. Feel free to peruse my past posts. I haven't said anything differently.

Nothing I said was meant as a bash against BYU fans as a whole. I was just pointing out the failed logic of the transitive property of sports that some seem to be using in seriousness to show why one sports team is better than another sports team. Or more specifically, why the cumulative record of conference teams against other conference teams proves nothing about the quality of that conference.

But you didn't really acknowledge any of that. I wager you more just have a problem with Utah fans. Sounds more personal than anything.

I don't have a problem with BYU fans, just faulty logic. I would have called a Utah fan out for saying the same thing. And no doubt me and mpfunk or byujacob (or whoever) would have been able to hammer it out without resorting to personal attacks.
