I think he played better than his ability...
because of his studious nature, his ability to read and understand the offenses and defenses well, he played and executed better than maybe his stature would have said he should. Much of his career was limited by injury but there is no doubt he performed when the cards were down during his senior season.
I also question his readiness to be OC at a major University. I don't have doubt about his ability to become a good coach. But I would have liked to see him grow and develop as a coach longer before this step. Hopefully my concerns will be for naught.
