If i were a non-member or less active member reading this thread about how his church-status was "only comes when he's sober," "isn't exed yet," "can't pray in this meeting or that" it would further my anti-Mormon feelings.

Whose to say HOW active this person is. Where is the line between active and less active and non-active. Joking about ANY member's status for whatever the reason might be is extremely offensive and comes off as "holier than thou"

Do those who replied that way only come to church when they're not mocking less active members?

Just completely poor taste. Comments that may not have been truthful or on point don't excuse the responses from so-called "active" members. That's all.
