I won't say anything mean
I'm afraid you and a lot of CBers have lost sight of the essence of college football and are more interested in glory, accolades, and domination. Those things are great, fun, and fulfilling, but they are rooted in a pure love of the game and your team. That's like giving up on your family because they are simply rich, and not ultra-rich or have not been able to purchase the big house up on the hill. Sorry, but stoke the love of the game and seeing your team succeed no matter the opponent and focus less on records, personal gratification, and bragging rights. Your pride is bruised because BYU hasn't done for you what YOU want. How about do for BYU and the team what they want - be a fan, go to the game, and cheer even if they're playing S.E. Moab C. C. JV team. Being a Ute fan is no sin. I like them too, but it's more of a mental exercise than a pure, heart-felt desire to root for them.
I suggest you alter your attitude a bit and enjoy any game you choose to watch. Just love the Cougars (0-12, in Div. II, with girls on the team, or National Champions = same love for the team!). Positive attitude!
