Purported pros and cons of living in Utah
Which do you agree with and which (particularly among the cons) are misconceptions that deserve debunking?

Pros:
1. Large wards mean many hands to make light(er) work (and more anonymity)
2. Less time/money spent traveling to/from church related activities/responsibilities (e.g., Sunday meetings, home teaching, temple, stake meetings, youth activities, etc.)
3. Released time seminary
4. Great outdoor recreation (for example, the Wasatch Front area is within a day's drive of more national parks than any population center in the US)
5. Spring, fall, and summer (mornings and evenings) are very nice
6. Generally sunny (except during the inversion months)
7. Can attend BYU athletic events
8. Relatively low taxes and gas prices
9. Some of the best skiing in the world (if you're into that)

May be a pro or a con (depending on your relatives):
Likely to live closer to more extended family

Cons:
1. Job market: lack of Fortune 500 presence and too many educated Mormons chasing too few good jobs translates to more competitive employment environment, lower wages, weaker job security, and employers with too much leverage over their employees
2. Lack of privacy, as your ward members are also your neighbors
3. Monoculture aspect tends to make people more narrow and closed-minded that they would otherwise be
4. Church members tend to be more competitive amongst each other and less unified that they would otherwise be
5. Along the lines of 4, church members are more likely to be caught up in "fluff" (including outward appearances) than they would otherwise be
6. Ubiquitous pop Mormon culture can be annoying
7. Weak zoning laws and sprawl make many areas aesthetically unappealing
8. Relatively weak public schools (highest student to teacher ratio in the US)
9. More difficult for children to get admitted into BYU
