The Pac needed two warm bodies to get a CCG

That's where Utah and Colorado came in. The CCG brings in enough by itself to pay for Utah and Colorado. Plus by bringing them in you get extra USC, UCLA, Oregon, etc. inventory on the weeks they play the warm bodies. the two schools bring value to the conference. Not because of UofU or CU's programs, but because it provides more TV inventory for the good schools in the conference.
