• The 3 games with higher attendance than this years game all included Navy. San Diego is a big Navy town and tickets are often given away to the service men and women.
  
• This years game was the lowest scoring Poinsettia bowl ever (29 total pts) 20 of which were scored in the 4th quarter. Next lowest was 2 ranked teams (TCU/BSU) with 33 points.
  
• This is the only year of the Poinsettia bowl where 2 unranked teams played in the game and Navy was not one of the teams.
  
• Poinsettia has always been played on a weekday so most arguments surrounding that as a possible reason for lower rating should not matter.
