I'd go to 16 and push for
Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and BYU (assuming there was no way to pry A&M from the SEC). If I can't bring in BYU for political reasons I'd grab to pry one of the other B12 teams (Kansas). If no other B12 teams will come, I'd settle for CSU
If for some crazy reason I were forced to expand to 14 without poaching a real conference, I'd grab CSU and BYU. If not BYU for political reasons I'd pick up BSU. I think BSU is a much better choice than SDSU or UNLV
