Some people just aren't a cultural fit there, and I'm not saying that's a bad thing.
Crowton tried that in 2004. When you commit a scholarship to a player and you're BYU, you want to make sure the kid is not have too much difficulty with the honor code. Because you lose a couple of key players to honor code issues, and you don't just lose that player, but you may have chosen not to award a scholarship to another player who might be almost as good, but who would have lasted the entire four years.
It's just a reality BYU has to deal with, and sometimes they miss out on some really good players due to the honor code and honor code office.
