I see that as an opinion and not fact

I can see how people can have the opinion that the committee would never end up ranking a non-P5 as high as 1-4 but in reality IF they did then they would be in the playoffs.

ANY team that is ranked top 4 gets in...a lack of faith in the committee's intentions to rank a non-P5 that high doesn't change the actual written rules.
