I don't eat much asian (specifically Thai) food, but I seem to remember a Thai
restaurant having little cups of items that were explained to me as "Clearing the Palete". After eating something hot, you would have one of these items, or dip something in these items and instantly the heat would be gone. They also had other things that would take salty or sour flavors out of the mouth. Is this correct? And if so what kind of stuff are they using to take away the heat. As you can tell I have little experience eating in places like this.
