I remember the rumors about his girlfriend being pregnant and did not know either well enough to ask. There are some athletes I knew well enough I could have approached but not Jake. I dismissed these rumors but if the school was investigating him I can see how an 18 or 19 year old kid could let it affect their play on the field.

It is evident he lost confidence and needed to move on. I always blamed this loss of confidence on both Doman's pressure to increase his leadership skills and Jakes conceit. But I can certainly see the pressure he faced and how all this could be tied into it.

I wish Jake the best and hope he can succeed where he is
