use of the phrase "I have read them all"

"Read".... as in newspapers, just like you and me. He doesn't use a term like "heard", etc which would leave open a belief that he has discussed these concerns directly with the Big 12. The nature of his word choice suggests that there is no discussion going on and that BYU is trying their best to respond to rumored objections and place themselves in the best position to be approached.

TH probably does recognize, or has been informed, that the Big 12 does not have much of an interest in the football only scenario, so it does no good for BYU to try to float that "for the time being".

I certainly am not sure that I am right.... hope my impression is dead wrong and that TH stating that he can't comment is related to ongoing intermittent contact with the Big 12.
